Classic Granville Island Engagement Photo Session

Vancouver Cherry Blossom Photography

An engagement photo session is my favourite part of getting to know your couple before the wedding. This sweet couple was referred to me by my friends. I was their wedding photographer. Sometimes I get unbelievably lucky with clients who are that classy looking! They were so easy to work with and time passed so fast.

This photoshoot actually started in Port Coquitlam, Veterans Park, as it was close to where they lived. Being a wedding and engagement photographer in Vancouver gives you a great opportunity to explore your own city, to discover new places, hidden spots. I would not have known this park exists if it was not for my clients. I will definitely come back again to this park for engagement photography as it is small and full of blooming cherry trees during spring.

Usually, during our 2-3 hour photo session, I like creating a short break to change outfits, have a coffee and show the pictures we took. This part of the engagement photo session we decided to move to a different place as we wanted to create a different look. Granville Island is known for some great rustic and water views and that is what we wanted. A few funny jokes and we got some incredibly nice shots with them being silly and just being themselves. They will look so good in their engagement photo album, which I personally design and include in all my wedding packages!

We had a wonderful time and they could not be happier with the pictures I sent them later that week. Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer and I am looking forward to your special day!
